Where would Globosexuals be without the aid of contraception? We would probably at home taking care of the 12th kid and with twins on the way.

Friday, the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith issued its 32-page document titled “The Dignity of the Person” (Dignitas Personae).

According to the New York Times the document bans various contraception methods including the morning after pill, the abortion pill RU-486 and the intrauterine device (or IUD) because “these can result in what amount to abortions.” The document also discusses it stand on stem cell research.

IUDs, or contraceptive t-shaped coils, are the 2nd most used method of birth control after sterilization and used by nearly 160 million women, or 15% of the world’s female population of reproductive age, according to the World Health Organization. Two-thirds of Chinese women use IUDs, while 1 in 5 Scandinavian women use them and 4% of British women use IUDs. They are popular among women who have already had babies as they’re easier to insert into a woman’s vagina, than in women who have never had children before, states

The Times reported that the Vatican’s intended audience surpassed “individual Roman Catholics,” but spoke to Catholics in medical professions and legislators “who might consider regulation stem cell research and other recent developments in biomedical technology.”
