(One-night Stand Special) XXX: Two Night Stand

Two Night Stand, the short film.

Two Night Stand, the short film.

Are you “over” one-night stands? Well, how about a two-night stand?

In the 2005 short film titled “Two Night Stand” by director Kyle Gilman two strangers wake up after a night of heavy drinking. All the signs that they’ve committed a one-night stand are there:

  • Waking up and not knowing whose room you’re in nor who is laying next to you.
  • Clothes scattered all over the room.
  • The urge to pee.
  • Waking up to someone peeing.
  • The realization that you’re nekid.
  • Pretending you’re asleep in order to avoid the confrontation.
  • Accusing the other of doing “this” often – when it takes two to tangle…

It all seems like an all-too familiar situation. That is, until they discover the room they’re in is neither Steve’s bedroom in Brooklyn, New York, nor Jennie’s love shack in San Diego, California. In fact, they’re in Ohio. The two spend the rest of the scenes piecing the night together and getting to know each other, but simply can’t figure out how they wound up together. Steve tries to continue the “romance” by persuading Jennie to go on a date with him, but Jenny isn’t having it and says goodbye. That seems to be the end of the fling, but of course it’s called “Two Night Stand” so it doesn’t end there. The next morning Steve and Jennie wake up naked, again–and in Ohio.

Does this recurrence mean true love? Will Jennie finally go on a date with Steve? Will both of them finally acknowledge their binge drinking problem and check into rehab? Watch the film and find out!

The best line: “A girl can’t go on a date with every guy she sleeps with in a drunken stupor. There are protocols.”
